ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in skin, from 50% to 70%. This substance, which is mainly present in the dermis, gives our skin its plumped, firm, smooth appearance. It is produced on a constant turnover basis, produced just as quickly as it used up. From 20 years of age, its rate of renewal slows down. When a person grows older, the process accelerates and the quantity of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases. This is one of the factors responsible for certain aesthetic modifications to the face and body, such as the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and sunken skin. It is found in cosmetic preparations because of its moisturizing and anti-aging properties and tensing effect. It is rich in water and recognized as a plumping agent, softening deep wrinkles caused by skin aging. Hyaluronic acid is absolutely danger-free when used in cosmetic products, because it does not penetrate the skin deeply and has only surface action. It also has the advantage of not being greasy and not blocking the pores in the epidermis. It has elasticity and high water content, filling in the gaps between the cells of the epidermis, with a re-firming effect on the skin, as it restores density to its surface. For all of these reasons, it is an ally in the fight against skin aging.
Baobab (oil)
This essential omega 6 fatty acid-rich oil supplies atypical fatty acids known as cyclopropenic acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants including gamma-tocopherol, which fight against skin aging. Taken from the tree that has inspired African legends and rich in medicinal properties, baobab oil is a real cosmetic active ingredient for anti-aging, anti-wrinkle treatment or for sensitive skin. Baobab oil helps improve skin elasticity and is recommended for its nourishing and soothing action.
Samphire
Considered a seaweed, the Samphire is a common perennial plant on the French coast. Very rich in vitamin C and iodine, it is used in cosmetics for its antiradical properties and to improve skin moisture, purification and cleansing. Samphire extract acts at three levels: It unifies the complexion by regulating pigmentary disorders, which limits the appearance of pigment spots. -It illuminates the complexion by improving the upward movement of cells onto the surface of the skin (natural exfoliation) and through its moisturizing properties. -It protects the radiance of the complexion through anti-oxidant action. Its firming and anti-aging effect is due to its action on collagen and elastin.
Lychee
The Lychee is a fruit tree cultivated in many tropical and subtropical areas, including the islands in the Indian Ocean: Madagascar, Reunion and Mauritius. Lychee water has invigorating, re-mineralizing, moisturizing and refreshing virtues. It is therefore a great asset in the care of tired, mature and sensitive skin. Its astringent properties also refine the texture of skin by tightening the pores.
Marine Silenus (Catchfly)
Considered seaweed, this perennial plant within the Caryophillaceae family lines the cliff-tops in the form of fragrant white cushions. Maritime Silenus is a plant with antioxidant properties, colonizing the French Atlantic coasts. Its natural components are fatty acids, benzene compounds and terpenes. Silenus Extract accompanies the skin in its daily struggle against free radicals and gives cosmetic products an emollient and protective effect.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A has an effect on skin texture, appearance, thickness and elasticity. It allows the growth of the skin cells and thus participates in skin regeneration and healing. Its exfoliating effect smooths the skin texture and ensures its radiance. Vitamin A also allows with the vitamin C collagen synthesis which is the support molecule of the skin. Its action of regulation of the melanocytes allows it to attenuate the intensity of the brown spots.
Vitamin E
Anti radical, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory, Vitamin E protects the skin from premature aging. It maintains the cellular activity of the skin, improves micro circulation and preserves the elasticity of the epidermis. It slows down the skin aging process by protecting cell membranes. Vitamin E also has anti- inflammatory properties (it acts especially on sunburns), moisturizing effects and improves the micro-circulation of the skin.
Menthol
Menthol is used for its powerful refreshing effect as well as its decongestant and calming effects. Menthol is the compound that gives the "freshness" characteristic of mint. It acts by stimulating the receptors of the skin which react to the cold recreating a sensation of cold.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera or Aloe is a stemless perennial plant with exceptional qualities. The clear pulp is obtained from the green parts. It is gel-like and has curative actions. It may be used both internally and externally. The Aloe Vera leaf contains over 75 nutrients and 200 other components, as well as 20 minerals, 18 amino acids (7 of the 8 essential amino acids that the human body cannot produce and that are essential for it are present in this plant) and 12 vitamins. Its benefits for skin are numerous, for both treatment and beauty. Cleopatra did not deprive herself of the exceptional properties of this plant to complement her legendary beauty! Aloe Vera has healing and also excellent anti-inflammatory qualities. It can relieve minor inflammation (strains, sprains, tendonitis ...), especially when patients have an intolerance towards cortisone treatments. It also promotes the elimination of toxins. This makes the skin pure and radiant. It is a good remedy for acne-prone skin. In addition, it improves blood clotting, soothes ulcers and treats cuts and bruises. It is a great anti-wrinkle treatment, as it maintains the elasticity of the vascular walls. Rich in antioxidants (flavonoids, vitamin C and beta-carotene), Aloe Vera has anti-aging properties. In addition, the plant has moisturizing and nourishing properties, and treats herpes because it stimulates the immune system.
